Gas Safe engineers, charged by the hour
Neos Engineering handlesboiler repair across all of London, for businesses and homes, with Gas Safe registered engineers based in Camden. We do not promise a set arrival time. The office answers around the clock and gives you an arrival window for your address before anyone is sent out.
The first hour covers the call out and finding the fault. After that the visit is charged by the hour. If the repair needs a return visit or further work, that is quoted before it goes ahead. Every repair carries a 12 month guarantee.

Common boiler faults
These are the calls we get:
- No heating, no hot water. Often ignition, a failed pump, a diverter valve or a control fault.
- Hot water but no heating, or the reverse. Usually a diverter or motorised valve.
- Banging or kettle noises. Usually limescale or sludge on the heat exchanger, and it shortens the boiler's life.
- Pressure keeps dropping. That is a small leak or a tired expansion vessel, and the engineer checks which.
- An error code on the display. Tell us the code; it often identifies the fault in advance.
- The boiler keeps switching itself off. Several possible causes, and the first hour is spent finding which.

Boiler repair, answered
How much does a boiler repair cost?
It depends on the fault. From £110 + VAT (£132 inc VAT) per engineer for the first hour, which covers the call out and finding the fault. After that the visit is charged by the hour, with materials and parking added where they apply. A return visit or further work is quoted first.
Can you fix my boiler today?
We treat a dead boiler as urgent. We are based in Camden, and when you call with the fault the office gives you an arrival window for your address.
My boiler is showing an error code. What should I do?
Note the code and tell the office. It often points the engineer at the fault. Some codes clear with a simple repressurise; the office will tell you if yours does.
Is it worth repairing an old boiler, or should I replace it?
The engineer finds the fault first. If the boiler is near the end of its life, we say so, and a replacement gets a written quote before anything is booked. As Vaillant accredited installers, a replacement comes with an extended manufacturer guarantee.
Do you repair all makes of boiler?
Our Gas Safe engineers are not restricted to one brand, and we are Vaillant accredited. On rarer models the constraint is parts availability, and the engineer tells you if a part will be hard to get.
